The Case of the Missing Vets
Welcome!!! 04/24/2011

This website was created as part of my school project. I think this website is really cool, but the shortage of large animal vets isn't. Please help us by getting involved and educating your friends.

Hi Kate!

Your website and blog are both incredible! Great job on pointing out a problem that needs some attention. I think your research might be very beneficial to helping solve the problem of a shortage of large animal vets. Good for you! I am going to forward your website address to my vet, Dr. Gastellum. He is going to love it. He is a small animal vet and is a very good one. Big hugs from Albuquerque on a terrific job on your project!

Wow, Kate.
What an amazing site. And it's really educational. If anything, I hope this inspires young people who are thinking of a career field to go into, to consider this one. The short supply of large animal vets means that there is plenty of work to be done. So this is a great way to let people know about it.
Great job on your efforts. You're going to make an incredible vet one day!

Dear Kate,

The entire staff of the Communications Division of the American Veterinary Medical Association wants to thank you for the awesome job you've done on getting the word out about the shortage of food animal and rural veterinarians. We couldn't have done a better job! We all hope you will continue to work toward your goal of becoming a veterinarian because we think you'd be a terrific vet! We hope you'll continue to use the AVMA as a resource and that we'll all be invited to your graduation from vet school.:-) Thanks, again, for helping with this important issue. You rock!

This is a wonderful website, and a wonderful idea! I really enjoyed your presentation yesterday. You've really created something special here, and you should be proud of your accomplishment! I hope this encourages other people who want to be vets to consider helping larger animals!

Great job!

Dear Kate,

You have done a phenomenal job of capturing and explaing a major challenge we are facing in veterinary medicine - and the societal implications as it relates to our the availability and safety of our global food supply. The public at large doesn't appreciate the important role of veterinarians in assuring our food supply, but you do - and, what's more, you're doing something about it! We look forward to you joining the veterinary profession in the future. In the meantime, your website is awesome, amazing, and an incredible piece of work. Congratulations and thank you!

Best Regards,

Ron DeHaven
